About our school

Inkster Preparatory Academy is a tuition-free public charter school serving students in Kindergarten through 8th grade in Inkster, Michigan. Principal Tiffany Dudley leads a school built on leadership development, STEM exploration, and bilingual exposure, where every student is expected to grow into the kind of person who leads, not follows.
At Inkster Preparatory Academy, our standards-based academic program is designed to engage students through hands-on, meaningful learning experiences that prepare them for success in school and beyond.
Students participate in interactive STEM learning that encourages creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving through real-world applications. Our collaborative gardening program provides opportunities for environmental exploration while teaching responsibility, teamwork, and healthy living.
Beginning in Kindergarten, students in grades K–2 receive weekly Spanish instruction, providing an early foundation in world language and cultural awareness. Through our partnership with Michigan State University Health Extension, students also participate in health and nutrition education that promotes lifelong wellness and healthy habits.
Leadership, character development, and positive school culture are at the heart of our school. Through our Leader in Me framework and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), students develop leadership skills, build positive relationships, and learn to become the best version of themselves every day.
Students have opportunities to extend their learning beyond the classroom through our FIRST Robotics Competition Club, National Junior Honor Society, and competitive athletic programs including basketball, volleyball, and cheerleading.
Recognizing that social-emotional wellness is essential to academic success, Inkster Preparatory Academy partners with MiSide to provide school-based mental health services and support for students and families, ensuring every child has the resources they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
The 21st Century After-School Program extends the school day with enrichment activities, homework help, and structured programming.
Every enrolled student receives free breakfast and lunch.
